I noticed one damselfish scratching its head on the live rock on occasions. its been doing this for about two weeks but no signs of any white spots or anything. None of the other fish have developed the itching yet, can anyone give me any info on this..thanks

It still could be ick. Even though its not visible at this point. Ick goes throught several stages. Your best bet is to QT him for a few weeks before he infects your tank if it is ick.

Garlic soaked food for now, and wait and see. In the meantime, you might want to get the QT ready, just in case.

thanks, I was wondering what is in the garlic that helps boost the immune system of the fish and can frozen minced garlic be used or does it have to be fresh. Would you happen to know if it will foul the water.
off that subjest I was wondering about my coral beauty angel. I've had it now for almost 3 months and it never eats! Ive tried bloodworms, tubiflex worms and brine shrimp and spirulina. I have plenty of live rock that he may be feeding off of but I dont see him doing that either. he/she seems to be doing fine and hasnt shown any weight loss. I would really like to see it eat so any suggestions would be appreciated.

No. I dont believe there is such as a thing called "reef safe". To my stupidity a while back I tried KICK-ICK. Killed almost everything in my tank. As beth suggested, garlic soaked food is about the best. Start a QT now to be prepaired.
