My fiancé posted a few days ago about our tank and since we’ve sold all of our livestock we have decided to piece out and sell the equipment as well as live rock/sand. We have a tentative price list below and while we have prices listed we are open to hearing REASONABLE offers for any of it.
Please note that these prices do NOT
include shipping charges. If you wish to get a price on something shipped please e-mail me a list of what you would like and your zip code and I will get back to you in a timely manner with a final price for it all. For those of you who want items shipped we will only accept money through Paypal that way we can ensure it’s been paid in full before we ship.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask either here or via e-mail (joel@joelrotunda.com). Also, here’s a LINK to pictures when it was fully assembled to give you an idea about equipment, live rock, and live sand.

HIGH prices....4 mo. old bulbs are practically new?! I replace mine after 6. $225 for a used 55gal tank and iron stand (with rust)? lol...new aquarium stuff is expensive, used aquarium stuff should be cheap...it's used! $20 for a used powerhead?! You can get them new for almost that much...I'm sorry, I couldn't help it.

First off, it’s $25
not $225 for the stand with the rust on which is, by the way, a phenomenal deal considering the rust wouldn’t even be noticeable once you dropped a tank on it and also considering I paid over $100 retail for it.
Second, the stuff I’m selling is “cheap.” I have receipts for every one of these items and every item is being sold for ATLEAST
50% off of the retail price and most are sold at about 60-65% off. For example, out of the Powerheads, the least expensive one we got was $50 retail which means that, even at the low end, whoever gets one is getting it at 60% off retail which is damn good in my opinion.
Third, and most importantly, if you’re not interested in my sale and you “think my prices are too high” then don’t buy them. We have sold through our entire livestock collection (many fish, inverts, cleanup crew, etc.) and some of our equipment (including our skimmer) and everyone we’ve dealt with personally has thanked us for the great prices we have given them and been very satisfied. So the fact that you “think the prices are to high” doesn’t matter to me because I have at least 4-5 people that I have dealt with personally that could tell, from experience, that the prices aren’t high.
Bottom line, my point here is not to start an argument. I just don’t think it’s your place to make malicious statements which, apparently, is from an inability to read the post (and respective prices on certain items) and furthermore to realize what great deals these things actually are when you compare them against receipts when I purchased them only a few months ago.
I'm sorry but I couldn't help it...

I was talking about the tank and stand....it would be $225 total....I did write tank and stand. Usually they go for about $1 a gal for a used all glass tank....not $4/gal.

Available Livestock
- Approximately 50 lbs. of fully-cured live rock [$2.50/lb.]
- Approximately 60 lbs. of live sand [$1.00/lb.]
Available Equipment

- 55g All-Glass Aquarium with Matching Stand [$200]
- 55g Rod Iron Stand (with a few rust spots) [$25]

- 48” Coralife Light Fixture with PC Bulbs and Actinic Lights (Bulbs are practicely new and have only been used for about 4 months) [$200]
- Fluval 304 Canister Filter with Carbon media [$40]
- 3 Different Powerheads [$20/each]
- Two Surge Protectors and Two Digital Timers [$10]
- pH Buffer (Only Used Once) [$5]
- Joe’s Juice (Only Used Once) [$5]
- Kick Ich Bottle (About half remains) [Free, if requested, with purchase and still available]
- Oceanic Sea Salt 200 Gallon Bucket (About half remains) [$20]
- The Simple Guide to Mini-Reef Aquariums, The Simple Guide to Marine Aquariums, and The New Marine Aquarium (all brand new books) [$20]

The tank and the wooden stand in the pictures are $200
. There is ANOTHER wrought iron stand that is $25
. You are entitled to your opinion but that $1.00/gallon has been debated in other threads in this forum and it seems the consensus is that it's not an accurate method of determining price; however, like I said, you’re entitled to your opinion. It’s my stuff and I’ll sell it at what I think is fair.
On a side note my first post also says I am willing to hear reasonable offers on a one-on-one basis. If you have another offer please e-mail me. Thanks!

Thank you for your kind words Jason, it was a pleasure doing business with you!
By the way, the lights, live rock, and one of the powerheads have been sold. I have removed them out on the main list accordingly.

Would you mind posting what you have left?
Is the lobster still around for other people?
What about your books and other dry goods?
