Its burying itself in the sand, why?

My carpet anemone is burying itself in the sand and idea why? I mean its the whole base, it looks like the whole thing is about to get sucked into the sand.

hes planting himself.its complety normal for anenomes to dig down deep and attach themselves to the glass below the substrait.they do that for security sand doesnt hold them very well.so nor worryies
 
Heh, you guys were correct. Before i left for work this morning he was back to normal. He actually looks like a little piece of carpet on the sand haha. But anyway, yeah, i can look underneath the tank and see his foot attached to the bottom of the tank.
