I just had to run on at the mouth a little bit, cause I'm SO excited. Have had water in the new (first, actually) tank for a little over a week. Shipment of LR expected in the next couple days, but right now we have about 100 lbs of base rock. We have ammonia reading at .25 as of today, so it looks like the cycle is beginning. It's starting to smell funny, too
The tank was really milky at first after adding sand, but cleared right up shortly after a cocktail shrimp met with a burial at sea I'm taking that as a good sign that bacterial populations are starting to grow. It looks like we're on our way to being ready for fish! I'll post a couple pics once I have some to post...
