ive noticed people with 55 gallon long tanks

whats the difference in a 55 gallon and a 55 gallon long... how much longer is it.. my 55 is 48" long. is that standard or long?

The two I've had were both 48". Must be standard.

48" is standard for a 55 gallon. I do not know what a 55 size a 55 long would be.

I've seen 55's that were 48" called standard and I've seen 55"s that were 36" call standard.....

They are both referred to as standard,the 48" are considered the long.

yes, the 48 inch ones are the "long"ones. they call them long because they arnt built short and tall or wide

I have what i call a 55 gal long. one of the 48 inchers. Now i just picked up a 55 gal tube. its 36 inches long, but a lot deeper.
