I've received my l/s yesterday

It finally came and I must say I'm not disappointed. The transition went great and I love the new look.
Now I would like to know if it's alright to mix the l/s up with the existing sand? And if so how long should I wait to do this? I want to get a constent look and by me adding three different brands of sand(l/s,SD, and sand from the lfs) I can see layer by layer.
So if so tell me how long should I wait.

If you have sand sifting creatures in your tank (and you should)they will mix it up on their own, it may take some time but it will look great when you are done.

Of corse you can STIR IT UP>>As a matter of fact,you SHOULD...As long as you can do it carefully so you don't kick up a big cloud from the SD sand...I stir mine about every week...
