The sump is a Rubermaid storage container about the size of a laundry basket (maybe 30 gal). For the media container I placed a 10 gal. plastic trash container with the bottom cut out inside the Rubbermaid container. The media container is held up out of the bottom of the sump by a few 3" PVC pieces and egg crate. I bought a 12" Tuppeware container with lid to serve as the drip plate. This fits perfectly inside the top of the trash can. Drill holes in the bottom of this so that the drain water drips evenly through the media. Hard plumb a stock overflow (I use the ones made by CPR) down to the drip plate. Get a pump and build a return line out of PVC and your all set. There are a lot of ways to build one of these so do what works best for the room you have to work with.
