Jawfish Question

I have a Black Cap that is about 1 week old to my tank. He has dug several holes and eats when I feed the tank, but he looks sick. He no longer sleeps in his hole rather spends his time by the pump. He is dispondent until I stick a net in the tank but then he takes off. Water is good and all the other fish are fine.
Are these signs that I should get him out of the tank and quarentine him?

Well question would be what is it in with. Is it being stressed by actions from its tankmates. Jawfish are VERY MELLOW fish and must be with non aggressive fish to survive. The fact that it has made (as you say multiple holes) would lead me to believe it is not comfortable. Most of the ones I have had made one hole and stayed near it unless they felt danger then they would try to make one somewhere else. Give us some more info and we will see what members think.
