Could somebody please point me the right way before i make a mistake? :notsure:

Well, it all depends on your animals' needs. What do you want to keep? Fish? Coral? Both? What kind of coral? Small reef fish and soft, lowlight coral are pretty much all this system can keep.

This brand has a built in lighting system into the hood, so I don't think it can be upgraded. Having the same tank brand as someone won't give you the same results, lol...

This tank can probably hold 3 small fish. So if that's all you want, yes, this is a good tank.

I'm not totally sure about getting one just maybe longer down the road...a lot longer down the road.

Ok i thought of another one lol. Will this dramatically decrease the variety of corals i can have in my tank because i wanted it to be a pretty big reef

I have the JBJ nano cube. There are upgrades available,a dn sunpod makes a 20 in. MH system that fits across it perfectly. I just posted my first pictures on this site. REEFER545 is the name look under fish photography. I still have stock lighting, and the only problem I have run into is not enough flow and temperature in the summer. I just bought a chiller and I added a 106 gph powerhead in the opposite side of the tank set to turn on and off every fifteen minutes. They are great and easy to take care of. Only other probl;em is that my arm does not fit inside the filter compartments, adn if somethings falls inthere my fiance has to get it.
If I could do it over again (i will once I move) I would definately buy a much larger tank.

Thanks REEFR. If you don't mind me asking where do u live because i live in Denver and my tank is gonna be in my basement. does the water temp. get that hot because then i wouldn't even think about getting a heater. Is this a good or bad idea? I also have another powerhead abailable sorta DIY but it will work (it's a pump from a fountain) because it was orginally made for fish tanks because it is also a DIY fountain lol
all i need to buy is a head. Thanks much for the info as this is my first S/W!

I live in the LOOP of Chicago. i ski Vail (since I was 2 and a half, at least two weeks a year adn sincerely hate you for living so close to the best skiing oin the world. LOL. I live on the 43rd floor and get the sun setting off my balcony eery day. In summer my apartment gets above 80 degrees without the AC on. Buy a heater just to maintain fluctuation day and night. You dont want your temp to rise or lower more than 3 degrees in 24 hours. Though it would be constant, and your tank inhabitants could probably handle it, it is just not ideal. Also, get an additional powerhead for flow reasons. teh stock is ok, but algae will build up in certain areas that you do not want. Added flow will stop algae from settling in as well as add to the becterial filtration we all so desperately need. You want your water to "turn over between 10 to 20 times per hour. I believe your fountain head would be too much. I dont know though. Plus, you want it to fit in your tank. Any other qs please ask or email me at vailboxergreen@yahoo.com
The picture is when I proposed to my fiance at the very top of MT. ELBERT. Best camping ever.
