JBJ 12 Gallon Powerhead Failure - Please help

I've had my 12 G JBJ nano deluxe up and running for 8 weeks now to give it a full, complete cycle. All of a sudden, my powerhead stopped working. I checked the connections, and even tried a different outlet but it's still not coming on. Is this a common problem among these nano's? Any suggestions to get it up and running? PLEASE HELP!

Just replace it with a good old Maxi-Jet 900...the stock pumps are inferior anyway.

I'm in full agreement here, the stock pump puts out insufficient flow, runs hot, and seems to have longevity issues. I use a maxi-jet 900 also.

is the maxi-jet 900 a little too strong for 12 g nano or should it be fine?

The maxi-jet 900 is fine for the 12NC. Couple that with a hydro-flo and bye bye dead spots!

call me ignorant or just new but what is a hydro-flow? Any pics or links?

Is the pump not coming on at all? or is the flow really low but still pumping?
