JBJ 12 lighting question- heat

Question- I recently replaced my fans in my hood- and the fans are now blowing out pretty cool air. However, when I turn my light on- my tank goes from 79.7 to 82. This has me wondering if the fans should be exhasting warm air- or if they should be blowing cool air on the lights to cool them off. Did I put the fans in backwards? I don't think I did - however, the excess heat I'm getting makes me wonder.
Advice, input is greatly appreciated.

if there is two... one should be putting air into the fixture while the other acts as your exhaust.

Yeah, It seemed logical to me they were exhausting the warm air - but I never paid attention before replacing them... all the sudden my temps were going up every time I had the lights on. So I switched em back the other day and I'm back down to 80 flat all the time... so thanks for setting me straight.
