jbj 12g rough start up???

Hey guys just a quick question. I have a 12g jbj nano cube dx setup in my room everything seems fine and the tank is doin well. However every morning when the lights turn on the fan basically screams like it's not spinning right. It does this for about a minute and then smooths and runs fine till lights out. Anyone ever experienced this and if so can it be fixed? Any info would be helpful. Been doin this for at least 2 weeks btw.

maybe if it's easy to get to take it out and clean it.. make sure there is no salt creep build-up
never had a nano cube so i dont know about the fan..

I'll check and see how accessible it is when I get home form work, hopefully it just needs some cleaning. Can anyone else think of anything??

I had problems with my first nano cube hood. It was a 12DX. I would look at the fans and see if they are dirty. I called JBJ and they gave me some free replacement fans just in case.

Wow,
I just got a 12g DX on wednesday, set it up- THEN realized the fans WOULD NOT WORK... PERIOD!! My lfs took it back and i got a new one... everything is working fine now
BUT it was a pain to change everything over

i have had the same problem with my 12 gal jbj nano and have found that if you clean the fan it should quiet down.

no i clean them by opening the lid and spraying them with compressed air you eont have to take the lights out. but make sure you spray away from the tank so all the dirt and hair does not go into the water.
