JBJ Powerheads

Has anyone had experience with powerheads from JBJ?
(Yep, the same company that produces the power compact lights)
My LFS had them for sale @ a great price - $14.99 for one rated at 250gph (not totally sure if this was the rating).
I posted this in the "New Hobbyist" board but, I thought that this might be the more appropriate area.

well, Jbj's arent the highest quality lighting. Ive had reports that they dont last very long and they burn out bulbs. Im just assuming the PH is made in taiwan like the hoods, so i wouldnt go for it.
I'd just go with some maxi-jets or aquaclears everyone's talking about, plus its probably cheaper

I hope you were speaking of the JBJ fixtures, and not the JBJ PC Bulbs themselves. I had to hit myself in the head to convince myself to pay the $43 my LFS wanted for a JBJ 50/50 24" bulb, but it looks nice compared to the Coralife Bulb that came with my Aqualight Fixture until the bulb stopped working(noticed it was cracked after it burned out). The Actinic bulb was very dim compared to the brilliant blue of the JBJ bulb.
