Does anyone have or know about the Jebo products that keep poping up on that famous auction site? I know in this hobby you get what you pay for, but they have skimmers (pump included) for 250 gallon tanks for under $100 and 260 watt lighting systems for the same price. Is this too good to be true?? :notsure:  :notsure:

the skimmers work very well for the money!! If you search for "jebo", you will find a simple modification to turn your pump around, and will make it perform a lot better!!

I disagree with motohead on the lights. They work just fine. The actinic bulb isn't true actinic, but other than that they work fine.
I have the 180 skimmer too. It's not bad, but I do have to adjust frequently, but it's still pretty new so it may still be breaking in. Plus it's my first skimmer.

I'll leave my comments at this:
You get what you pay for.
Budget price usually yields budget performance.

doesnt the jebo/odyessea model have a true actinic?
i have them, and so far so good!!! The only thing is that there isnt a switch to turn on just the actinics or just the 10,000K. It said there were two switches so thats what it hought they were for, but turns out the other one is for the moon light

I have a jebo PC light on my FW tank for almost 2 years now and it still works great. My JBJ unit only lasted about a year and then the ballast burned out. So I would recommend it.
The actinics are actually just 7100k blues. But for the price of the fixture, its worth it to get and and replace the blue bulbs. Theres a site online other than the auction site that is even cheaper since they are a distributor. Do a search for aquatraders.
As fot the skimmers, thier cylindar type skimmers are not very good and are known to overflow from the seals. But the CPR bakpak clones are supposed to pretty decent and for $40, you can upgrade the pump to the same one as the CPR and it works great.
They even have MH fixtures for amazing prices, but the bulbs suck. Inconsistent color and low PAR. But for a price, you can replace it with an XM bulb and still spend less than other hoods.

I have the Jebo 260 watt pc lighting unit and it is great. I have owned JBL and other models in the past and the quality of the Jebo unit is equal to JBL from my experiences with both products and I got the JEBO unit anywhere from 1/2 to 1/3 of the cost.
Also I own the skimmer and it works excellent also. I ahve had both the skimmer and the lights for about 1 year with no problems. I would definitely reccommend this brand. You get equal quality products to what you get from big name brands at the LFS at prices that are well below retail.

My opinion = POS
used for two weeks, will sell them both, single sale, $70.

Hey, Andretti! :joy: I bought the Jebo lights and they've been running for 7 months now with no problems. I did buy some MH lights and I run them together just so I can keep a variety of corals.
