Jesse Jackson Bus Tour

Jesse Jackosn and his Ranibow Coalition rolled into New Orleeans today. Jesse was outraged that jobs were going to people that lived outside the area. He vowed to tour various areas of the country and bring New Orlenians back home for housing and jobs.
Well, they arrived today with aboout 200 people and the local TV station could find NO ONE that was originally from New Orleans. Reports indicate about a dozen of the 200 were evacuees...the rest were from out-of-state and had not been impacted by the hurricane.
Jackson goes on TV and says he is ourtaged that jobs are going to non-New Orleanians..then busses folks from outside the area for the jobs.
When asked how many folks on his tour buses were actually from New Orlleans he stated he did not know. If this guy cares so much you would think he WOULD know.
While certainly an attempt at a good cause....the outcome demonstrates that all he was doing was exploiting a situation to keep his name in the media. Finding evacuees jobs was placed in the back seat .....exploitation was in the front seat.
All about Jesse.................

I can't stand him OR Sharpton. Sharpton showed up a few weeks ago pounding his fist in outrage about "the people" being blah, blah, blah. Did we see him lift a finger to get anyone out? Pledge a dime? Volunteer at a shelter? Once he got wind of the magnitude of this....... POOF.....he left.
I have the same feelings for Jackson. He will exploite any situation for the good of his name, but contribute nothing.
If either one of these guys would build something, clean something, move something, dontate something....
A N Y T H I N G !! Then maybe they deserve to be listened to.

Oh....and can someone please explain something to me. Several times over the last few weeks when news crews are at some of the shelters accross the US...why is it you see some of the evacuees covering their faces. Men, women, black, white etc. Papers go up. hats go down, jackets go over their heads. Whats that about? Not everyone, but just an observation, one guy almost trip over himself once he saw the cameras and couldn't cover up fast enough :notsure:

Jesse Jackson busload of workers includes few New Orleanians

Reverend Jesse Jackson and the Rainbow Coalition brought about 200 people to town Tuesday to find jobs reconstructing New Orleans, but most of those talked to by Eyewitness News were not displaced residents.
Associated Press
Jackson organized the bus tour, which began in Chicago Monday, as an attempt to bring displaced residents back to participate in the rebuilding of the city. When pressed as to how many of the job seekers were from the New Orleans area, Jackson said he didn’t know.

Nagin was actually once a republican . He was a cable TV exec that decided to run for mayor. First public office he held. he donated money to W's presidential campaign too. Switched parties before the election
You can see that tap dance around the "dog and pony show" question.

he dances well...............

Why doesn't he go get more people and bring them to NO to help with the huge effort thats taking place right now? They are trying to ready an area for all those mobile trailors by placing sewer and electric/phone for that area. Its taking a ton of time because of a lack of man power. Like I said......I think if you want to come back there to live, at least some should do is help with the rebuilding and not just sit back and wait and suck the system.
and has anyone figured out why some people are going out of their way to hide from the media? Just what do they have to hide and I would think it would peak someone in law enforcements interest and not just mine....

I'd be willing to bet serious money carlin never said any of that. He is a full blown communist. In fact I watched him defending looters on Bill Mahr's show.
