Who will take the fall? First Sestak, now Romanoff. I need to declare in a D primary to get a good job.
On the brighter side the gov't hired 400,000 while evil private business owners only hired 20,000.
I wonder how many years do those 20,000 have to work to pay the tax to pay the wages of all those gov't employees?

how long are the census jobs? I tried looking, but couldn't find it. I am guessing it varies by area? Because when those jobs go south out of the report is another day to hunker down.

When the census hires someone they count it as a job created. When things slow down they lay off the person until it picks back up. When they bring them back they count it as another job created. If they get laid off again and brought back it's the 3rd job they count

I seem to remember reading the majority of jobs were 5 months or less

Here is the answer from the http://2010.census.gov/2010census/about/whole.php site.
Most 2010 Census jobs are temporary and last up to several weeks. However some could last up to eight months. The length of time a temporary census worker may be employed depends on the time frame in which they are hired and the operation taking place at that time. These individual operations take place over a number of months, but people are not hired to work from start to end on all operations. The largest operation is nonresponse follow-up (door-to-door enumeration) from May through July with hiring and training in April. Other major operations include the delivery of questionnaires to 12 million housing units in March, staffing questionnaire assistance centers (Feb. 26 to April 19), staffing “Be Counted” sites (March 19 to April 19) and staffing telephone questionnaire assistance centers (Feb. 25 to July 30). The Census Bureau builds a recruiting pool of applicants in order to have readily available and qualified workers for all operations.

Don't hold your breath. First off, Obama could snap and kill his wife and kids, and the democrats would play it off. It would never get anywhere. And well if the republicans take over the house and senate. They wouldn't have the guts to withstand the "The evil white party impeached the first black president." rubric the left and their media would cast...

NO,
President Obama ran on "change", "no more status quo", "transparency", etc. Then he and/or his people put their claws into elections for the express purpose of shaping the outcome.
There are reasons those laws exist. These are the reasons.
How's that for change?

Maybe you're unaware but there have been Claims by democrats that the Obama administration has tried to bribe them out of running with job offers. Which is a federal felony. Hence the thread

The national media was slow to pick up on the Romanoff deal. I heard that weeks ago here. Seems like they have the scent of blood in the water and want to create a drip, drip story now. Wonder who else they know was offered a job.

It still blows my mind that they'll run a phony story like Vallery Plame, then spend weeks salivating on whether they're gonna get Bush. But won't run a story that has much more legitimacy like this one at all.

Don't forget the federal prosecutor investigation. Congress thinks it was important to put a special investigator on W for doing what he has the right to do yet wont consider appointing one to look into Obama's jobs for favors program.
