a few more shots... i am pretty impressed with this camera. its no crazy DSLR with a $1500 macro lens but the options are very configurable and the pictures are pretty stunning. Im hoping to get a hold of my father's Nikon and a tripod later in the week.
My firefish and shrimp are hiding, just changed to a fresh set of bulbs so they're hanging out in the shade.

Almost forgot our seahorse wich was a birthday present for my girlfriend. shes very cute! lives in a tank on our nightstand next to our bed. she spends most of her time on the far let of the tank and at night makes her way across to the right side and sleeps next to us. she'll be 10 months old on Jan 1st. Always my favorite to feed, she eats mysis right off the tongs and its great when she blows the food out the top of her head. ill take some video next feeding time.

shes been very easy to care for despite all ive read. it seems a lot of it depends on getting a good one so to speak. she eats well and is very healthy. water conditions are the most important aspect because from what I see they are very messy eaters so a lot of food goes to waste and just rots... which is why im glad she eats off the tongs. ive found its a good idea to have a cleaner shrimp in there to pick up scraps. ive heard they do better in groups although we only have 1, doesn't seem to be a problem. its a good idea to watch them in the store for a week or so to make sure they're eating a healthy. we gave them a few bucks to hold her and went back every day during feeding time to watch. they're fascinating.

I really liked this picture of the zoas so I photoshoped it. Adjusted the color and enhanced the white balance. Looks pretty good, that little bit of coraline on the glass in the middle of the picture is annoying me. next time i know to clean the glass first...

Great pics. But, I am most curious about your beautiful seahorse.
What kind is it? I don't think I have seen one that coloring before?

They weren't sure in the LFS... she was just marked as "hippocampus". From my research I believe shes a Kuda. Photographs much whiter, in real life she has a tint of yellow. Shes about 5" stretched although her snout is a little less slanted than the Kuda and her spots are more prominent. She does have the star on her forehead though.
If any seahorse experts can ID her more thoroughly that would be great. I have a few more pictures of her in other positions if it would help.
