I have a 20+ gallon (im not really sure) sitting next to me and its doing nothing, just holding extra equiptment. Not sayng that I would do it now, but I was thinkign a fragtakn would be a good idea.
Then I thought could I light it with the sun?? SO i want to know any problems that would come out of this. Like explosive algae growth, or other things.
thanks

ok potential problems from solar ligthing
primary concern would be: over heating
secondary: are you far enough south for it to be effective?
last: algae, only if there are nutrients for it to grow, I dont care what kind of light you use if there are not available nutrients algae cant grow.

well, you could make a device that would absorb sunlight and magnify it over your tank, but it would be much easier and cheaper to go buy a MH fixture.
