and here is my only problem in the tank so far. this didnt start now. it was moslty like this all the time, but i expected my protein skimmer (which i only added 2 weeks ago) to take care of the problem.
HERE IS THIS PROBLEM [any suggestions welcomed] and i have no tracable phosphates

Nice set up. Those mushrooms look like hairy's.
Can't help you with the sand bed....do you have a crew to clean it?

Those mushrooms are of the Tonga variety. That would be the common name for those type of mushrooms. Tonga is just another island down in the indonesia area.

im getting more soon. but does anyone have any suggestions of how to clear up the sandbed. its going little by little deeper under the surface as u can se from the picture.:help:

It's just becoming live sand. I would leave it alone. Things that will go through it are cerith snails, nassarius snails, i think cucumbers, fighting conchs and others. The ones i named have the best chances of living for long periods. Do not buy a sand sifting star.....

Correction. Octobubble. :) Same family plerogyra just different shape. I'd call it an Octo as opposed to a bubble if you are describing it to any other hobbyists.

here are a few updates on my "new" arrivals...
here is a pic of my candy cane that originaly came completely bleached and barely had any "flesh" on it.
