Google Asterina starfish. Not a problem usually unless the become plague proportions, or if you see them eating your coral. I think most folks take them out when the see them just to be on the safe side.

correct, i've caught asterinas eating my zoos. i've seen pictures of them eating SPS, and some eat coralline.

i've got a gray and white 5-sided asternia that eats coralline. i see it on the LR, then theres these white patches where he was the next day. seems to be a picky eater though, only eating coralline of a certain color - pink.

you can see it at center, and where it has been at top left, coralline getting white. but the coralline recovers though...
