Just bought tank, in process of cleaning used parts

Anything specific I should use to get all the skimmers and such looking close to new? I was told white vinegar and water. Is there a percentage mixture I should use? This glass is haggard and it's taking forever to get clean. Is there anything else I can use? Same goes for all the pumps and skimmers and such. What should I do to get them looking good, as well as what's the best for cleaning out the internal parts?

I use white vinegar as well.
I would soak everything in 100% overnight and scrub in the morning, be sure to rinse really well.
As far as the tank goes scrub rinse repeat.

If a used tank, do a two for one.
Take outside and fill with water and vin mix. Cover it if possible to prevent evap as much as possible but it should check for leaks while it works of breaking down the hard to scrub portions. Leave it for 2 days and then scrub.
