Here is a quick story for you all. Well im here in south america and my girlfriends family has decided that for new years and my being there we would have a pig roast.. Well im like awesome because I like pork, "THE OTHER WHITE MEAT" Well anyway, while im there I noticed this big pig out in front of the farm tied up.. I was like whatever its a farm right? But the next thing you know, I see my gfriends father go outside with some other family members and a huge sharp knife.. I put 2 and 2 together and knew what was going to happen next... NOW to all you people who have ever been around a farm or such, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD A SQUEALING BUTCHERED PIG? It really sounds like the end of the world! I immediately grabbed my ipod and put it on full blast to drown out the sound.. Very powerful! ALMOST enough to make me very sick and become a tree hugger. Well not really..lol... ANYWAY we are so callous the butchering process and are just used to seeing stuff in the market with the "deed" already done.. just passing on some info!! BE SAFE MY FRIENDS! "Dont Drink and Drive"

OMG! thats so sad! I remember my mom telling me a story of her when she was a kid... It was about on the farm they got to raise this baby pig, and they all ended up loving it or something, and one day the pig was gone and on their dinner plate was...pig. She said none of them ate it except their parents. But OMG if you can eat something that you just saw with your eyes get killed and you can eat that your CRAZY! lol (although i do love bacon and ham i wouldnt eat the bacon or ham from a pig i saw slaughtered) If you can live with yourself...go ahead... lol
well anyways HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!!
And i will try not to drink too much and drive

*cries a little* just reading that and picturing it makes me want to cry a little bit, thanks, i was in a cheery holiday mood. not really the holiday story anyone expects

um... my family grew pigs for the slaughter house. sorta odd that you heard anything, but shows to go you that we are more humane in the states.
we used to put a bullet in the brain :p slit their throat, and hang up by the feet to let the blood drain out.

My cousins grew up on a farm and I seen chickens and ducks chopped and then I was eating it 30 min later. MMMMMM

try holding the head as the axe comes down... many a chickens lost their beaks before their heads because i was afraid of the axe chopping my fingers

Happy new year! And remember that drinking and driving is not the responsible thing to do. I lost a friend to it and no one should go through that. Happy holidays and have fun

When I was growing up my friends dad did this with a calf hug it by it back feet and slit it throat it was a horible sound and site to see at 9 yrs old.
Also Happy New Years and be safe and don't drink in drive call AAA if you are to drunk it free.
