Just got a 80g, few questions!

I just picked up a 80g bowfront tank and stand and complete setup. Its been setup for over two years. In some ways it is terrific in others not so much. First, there is really no flow, the only flow comes from the return pump from sump. It has an internal overflow which is awsome but looks terrible. So I want to paint the back of the tank black. Can anyone give some detailed instructions on how to do it? What type of paint to use?
Also it only has about 50 pounds of LR, would it hurt any to add some more baserock? Will it throw off any of my levels? Mini cycle? If im going FOWL will I need any more flow then the one return from sump? TIA!

I can chime in on the flow portion. I suggest good flow even without corals. I am a firm believer that lack of flow creates dead spots which in turn increases algae growth and cyano. I'd keep flow all over the tank.
You can always add more LR, but only if it is cured. Add any uncured LR and your tank levels will rise like a brand new tank.
