just got a long tenacle anemone and need some help

I just got a long tenacle anemone and when I woke up this morning it was all shrunk up. Do they do this from time to time or is this a sign of it not being happy. When I got it I looked on here to see where to place it and I figured the best thing to do would be to set it on the sand bed close to the rock work and let it go where it wants. It did attach itself to a piece of rock and still is attached to the rock but it is all shrunk up. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

i was also wandering if I need to feed the anemone and if so what do they like to eat??

Im no expert but,if its anything like my Condy or my BTA,I wouldn't worry too much. They do that from time to time. It should be back to normal before too long.

As far as feeding it,I give my Condy and my BTA 1 frozen Krill each,every 2-3 days.

Yeah thats normal. I feed my anemones raw shrimp about 1 time a week.

I feed mine silverslides, krill, and mysis.

thanks for the help, i feel much better, it did grow back to its normal size after a little while. thanks for the info on what to feed the little guy.
