i have a brittle or serpent star that just appeared yesterday, i saw a limb creep out of my live rock... my tank has been up about 6 weeks... any way i can coax it out or possibly break my live rock a little. i heard that they sometimes go inside the rock and then grow too big to escape... if you have any suggestions let me know. thanks.

You probably have more than one. They are very good for your aquarium, and they will not get stuck. They eat detritus, fish poo and extra food. They also scavange for other things.
Just leave your aquarium alone!
