Just Plug it in?

One more stupid question. I'm currently running
a 48" dual bulb light strip w/ URI Ant. white and blue bulbs on a 55gl tank. I seriously looked at upgrading my lighting system today to VHO at my LFS.
I would like to do the Metal Halide Pendants, but live in an apt. and can't exactly splice into the wiring. Is there a system out there that allows for a "plug in" Metal Halide Pendants? Or do I need to just get VHO florecent strip bulbs and be done with it?

I have a 48" MH canopy that is suspended from my ceiling and I have had good sucess with it.
I didn't want pendants because of the sorta same thing so I got this one and I like it .
They are a little expensive so you may be able to get a used one from your lfs or online, Just talk around.

Can you tell me the brand of the 48" MH system you have. I have been ALL OVER the web tonight looking for systems. I see Coralife and IceCap systems, they are so many web sights with so many different products that my head is spinning -- information overload.
