I just picked up a nice light fixture. It's got 2 96 watt bulbs, one white, one blue. It's also equipped with a fan and a switch for each light. I'm really pleased, but I think I'm going to get a smartlite blue/white to replace my blue light. It just seems too blue. I can't wait for the corraline algae to start to bloom on my live rock. Overall I'm very happy!

what size tank is this gonna be on, i have the 55 watt(23 inch) retro fit kit and for my tank i think its the best bang for the buck for my tank
i think the white can actually be a little bit whiter(they have a yellowish tint) but the blue with the white creates a nice color for small sized tanks
belive me your clean up crew will get a work out and if u dont have one, get one, your gonna need it

My tank is only 45 gallons, so 192 watts for 45 gallons, that's over 4 watts per gallon. And the thing is I probably won't end up going reef because I like triggers so much.

I too have a custom sea life pc, but the blue attanic will fade out, it is made to be strong for a few days then it fades to what it needs to be, i have the 48" for my 55 and things are groiwng like crazy and i have nly had mine for about a week. Ps. the algae cycle does come, and boy does it come strong. I have brown algae over everything, but my tank is still in the cycling mode.

I just recently picked up a retro from coral sealife. Love It. 2 65W PC's and a 175W MH for my 50 gal. Both PC's are blue, so it's a bit much, but I've actually grown accustomed to it. And then the MH comes on, it looks awesome. Picked it up for about 550 with a 10" hood.
