Just received my Australian Harlequin Tuskfish

I just got my Harlequin tuskfish. He is about 8", and looks great. I got my cleaner shrimp out, but could not catch the coral banded shrimp. When the Tuskfish was first put in, the CBS went right to him, and started to clean him. I thought the CBS was a gonner, but the tuskfish just sat there, and when the CBS was gone, the tuskfish started swimming around.

You said you received him. Did you get him from this site?
I had one once and it only lasted 6 months. One of my favs after a clown trigger. Good luck with him.

Ah, Choerodon fasciatus, the most fascinating of Pacific Reef fish. He sounds like he is coming close to being full grown. Have you noticed the blue dental pigments coming in yet?
PS I'm not suprised to hear about the CBS cleaning him, but I would remove any other inverts you have in your tank. Good luck with your wonderful new addition!
