i just bought a 65 gallon tank and stand. although i have been doing freshwater for 13 years i have never tried saltwater. What kind and how many filters and other equipment do i need for a 65 gallon fishonly saltwater tank i would appriciete any advice i can get :) :) null

Welcome to the board and to the hobby!
I am sure you will get the same advice from everyone here... read, read, read before you jump in, and go slowly.
This website has a pretty good section on tank setup Tank Setup That will give you the basics.
You will learn a TON from reading these boards as well. This is the best board I have ever found for the hobby.
The equipment you will need will all depend on the type of SW aquarium you plan to keep... fish only, fish only with live rock, reef...? You'll need to do your research and decide what you are interested in, and how much money you have to spend on your equipment.

Read up on the different types of filtration you can have.
Look for info on Live Rock and Deep Sand Beds
Pick a cool (temperature) place in your home to put the tank in so your temp won't undulate.
And the best advice I have had since i switched over from FreshWater...TAKE YOUR TIME!!! The more prep work you have the better experience in the long run you will have. I have had more success with Salt Water early than I did with Fresh just simply because i have taken my time.
