before i busted up the biggest rock i had and put it back in the tank

im not sure really...i think i may have had a bad test kit along with a bad hydrometer and protein skimmer...i did water changes every 2 weeks, but i think it was because my test kits were reading everything OK but werent...then the hydrometer was showing high salinity so i started cutting back on how much i put in my replacement water leading to the wate dropping to brackish levels 1.013 and i think the poor skimming and bad test combined allowed my nitrates to get over 70....so it was probably everything combined but not really sure

yeah...it was my favorite coral...i was so pissed when everything started dying and i couldnt figure out what was going on and things just kept goin down and it was nothing i could do...almost caused me to give up reefing
