Were I live we have a chain of REALLY god fish stores. The smallest tanks they keep there fish in is 30gal.
I think they figure that the fish won't be in there that long so it doesn't matter. But I have seem some really big fish slam into the glass in those small tanks. It didn't look or sound nice!

MAN!, do I hate to see that, and it pisses my wife off, she is a big animal lover and would bring everythng home in this situation, if she could
but they only often have these fish for a short peiod of time, sometimes only hours, maybe days, but rarely weeks(unless they q them, in which case still only 3 or so), I feeel it is like sticking a kid in a closet, not good and definitely should not be for any amt. of time
