Hi:
quote"i dont know what is wrong"
an neither do we w/o more information.
Can you quickly run down your tank specs, water parameters(which i feel might be at fault here), tankmates, how long the fish has been iun the tank, your feeding regamin.
Fading colors can suggest anything from poor diet to poor water quality. Discolored scales may suggest something else. Do you notice anything going on w/ the fish? has he stopped feeding, or is acting strange

i just had the water parameters checked, everything is fine. salinity is 1.021. the other tank mates are:
blue hippo
royal gama
seabe clown
green chromis
i think that it might be because he might be just going through the juv. growing phase. but i am going to keep my eye on him just to be safe. it doesnt look like ick or any kind of bacteria/fungus, just some of the scales are lighter in color than the rest. as far as the overall color goes, im going to switch the diet up more than usual to see if that helps. thanx for the input
