I recently bought a Paddlefin Wrasse (Thalassoma lucasanum) that is still in its juvenile color phase. I was under the impression that these wrasses always changed into the colors of the thick vertical stripes of green-yellow-pink as they got older. With more research I found out that those are only males. However, the females change gender once they get large enough. At least that is what i understand.
Mine is currently about 4" and am not sure what --- it is. Does anyone have any experience with these fish changing in to this final color phase?
