Well, it's not exactly an invention, but its cool. I have an MJ1200 powerhead. I got one 90 degree elbow from HD along with 1/2 inch piping. Another T for the bottom and two end caps. I drilled holes in the bottom part and raised it so that the MJ is right at the top of the water and the pipe with all the holes is JUST off the bottom. It is blowing STRONG current along the bottom and barely effecting the sand. Cause I drilled the holes at a slightly upward angle.

If I still had a digital camera after my nephew tried to take underwater pics with it, I would take them LOL. There is a 90 degree elbow that comes out of the powerhead. Then about 9 inches of tubing is plugged into that. That piece of tubing goes into a tube a T splitter at the bottom. Then there is one 4 inch piece that comes out the left side of the T, with a 12 inch piece that comes out of the right side of the T. There are about 12 holes drilled across the thing. Its neat lookin when I turn on my venturi valve.

I just think its cool. Similar to a spray bar maybe. But it is at the very bottom blowing over the sand bed. I am probably going to put one on the other side too. Either way it should be helpfull. I heard the bottom is one of the hardest parts to get waterflow to. So I just decided to rig something where 600 GPH is getting pushed ONLY along the bottom without effecting the sand bed. The only place it is effecting it is where it is blowing against my heater. It is starting to dig a small hole there. 3 hours of acclimation and my sand sifting sea star is in the tank. He has already burrowed himself into the sand several of times. Hopefully that is a good thing.
I will get pics up as soon as I get a digital camera, again, this weekend.
