Kalkwasser and high alkalinity

I need some help. I have read lots & lots of threads about the ALK,CA & MAG connections. I especially like BANB,s bank deposit thread. However after all that I am still a little confused. I have a high ALK problem. It runs around 12.8 dKH or 4.57 My current CA level is 450mg, PH8.4, NItrate 0, Salinity 1.025 temp 80. When I have tried Kalk before I always get an even more elevated ALK reading. I thought I would try a drip this time. I have been using liguid calcium instead. Any ideas? Or am I fine just using the liquid calcium? What is the advantage of Kalk over liquid? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Your levels are fine. What is your magnesium and strontium readings?

I don't have kits for those two things. I have been adding coralite once a week, which has both. I am still concerned if I start dripping Kalk by Alk level is going to rocket? And why Kalk instead of liquid calcium?
