i am wanting to start using kalk and i wanna make sure im using it right! my plan is to mix it every morning, and let it slow drip every night, as i read it helps keep a stable ph at night when the lights are off. or ill prob mix 5 gallons at a time so it has more time to mix and set. i plan on keeping a 1 gallon bucket above my tank to slowly drip. the only thing im worried about is, that it says to only use the water in between the stuff that settles to the bottom and the crust that forms at the top. i have something simple set up right now for the drain hose. i have the hose rubberbanded to a peice of pvc pipe so it will sink to the bottom but its set up that the hose stays about an inch off the bottom of the bucket. is this enough? and what would happen if it drained all the way out and the crust from the top drained into my dt? maybe im over thinking this
