First you should test your calcium. That will 1...tell you how much to add and 2...tell you if you really need to add.

agreed...but i wouldn't just "PUT IT IN YOUR TANK" IMO you should drip it. and......your water perameters must be stable before you start dripping it. when you start dripping it you should test your water repeatedly until you get the drip set right to what levels you want. there is a thread by Kip4130 "Dripping Kalkwasser:101" that i ran a copy off of before i started dripping kalk. Im sure there are many other posts and threads but this particular one was easy to understand. followed its info and have had no problems what so ever.. Hope this helps.
