Kamikaze boxfish

Hello,
I have a 100 gallon Reef tank - that houses a Koran Angel, Yellow tang, Clarkii clownfish, 3 yellow tailed damsels, a yellow cubicus boxfish and a meditteranean boxfish.
Over christmas I must have lost one of my boxfish without noticing it. I cant find any remains however I do have 100lbs of LR so its probably somewhere at the back. Yesterday, I found my second boxfish dead and couldnt find any of the damsels. The other inhabitants were breathing very oddly. The tank this morning was full of dead fish, hermits, snails etc. The only things that have survived are a few hermits and my soft/hard corals.
Now its suddenly struck me. The boxfish must have died, released its toxins and taken the rest of the tank with it. Would this be a possible scenario ? Now ive removed the fish - am I likely to see any more casualties ? My corals seem as good as theyve ever been - so are corals immune to the boxfish's poison ?
And basically, what do I do next ?
Thanks for your help.

thats definately what happened. Pack your filter with a high quality carbon. I dont think it effects some corals though. It happened to a friend of mine once and all of his corals were fine. good luck

Thanks for the replies both :)
Confused? I was at a friends house when I posted this, and I couldnt for the life of me remember my username/pwd. So now I have Pseudonym too!
Using high quality carbon is a good idea - I'll definately give it a run, just to be sure that everythings OK.
Ive just changed over to a DSB so I was fortunate enough to be in a position to break the setup down and give everything a good going over. Im obviously going to stay away from boxfish from now on - got my sights set on a dogfaced puffer - lets hope hes less hassle :)
