keep carbon bag in whisper filter?

my 20 gallon high im using a whisper filter and liverock as filtration. and i have two maxi jet 400's as well
should i leave the carbon bag in there like it came? i am cycling right now, but just want to make sure im doing this right.

Yes, yes, and yes. Carbon will not interfear with the cycling process. The only thing is the carbon in those filters only lasts about 3 weeks. As part of my monthly filter maintenance, I change out the carbon. It clears up cloudy water, absorbs foul odors and particles that may be too small for your filter media to catch.
