Keeping A Clean Tank

I have a 55gal fish only tank with 5
small fish. (about 1"-3") There is a
fluidized bed filter (600g) 2 powerheads
and a double cartridge type filter. How
often should I be cleaning the tank,
doing partial water changes and testing
salinity?

Once every two weeks should be ok. I do it once a week, but I have more life forms in my tank. Use distilled water for good conditions.
