keeping a nem alive

Can I put a 2x24 watt Nova Extreme HO Light Fixture on a 17" tall tank and keep an anemone alive?

hhhmmmm.... u maybe can but u have to place him somewhere on the top. as close as u can toward the light. and feed it a little more often. i have one in my 12gal nano. some people say it will died or get bleached but he has been fine for about 3 months now.

I can put it about 10" from the light... will that be close enough??
