Kelp and Sea Grass

i am currently setting up a cold water Pacific tank... i was wondering if it is possible to keep Kelp if harvested from the root, the tank will be equipped with plenty of flow.... im sure sea grass should not be that difficult, but i figured i should ask anyways.

from my understanding of various shows on the kelp forrest is that they need massive amounts of nutrients coming into the tank all the time. try looking up the shed aquarium I beleive that has massive kelp forrests in it and what they have to employ to keep it alive I am sure there are different species of it though there might be a better speceis to look at.
