Kelp Question

I have gotten the itch to get comments.
I would like to set up a tank to grow kelp. I live in So California and I see much of it when snorkling and was wondering if it would be possible to set a tank and grow this at home.
Parameters? Environment?

If your talking agout taking the wild stuff home,Just get a sample of the water where it's growing and test it for everything, including temp, and current. Then copy it at home. Should work. GOOD LUCK...STEVE

Thanks. My big concern was light. When I go out It seems pretty dark.
Anyone else curious to set this up.
I will in a few weeks give it a try. Will also research on other habitants locally. I know there are tons of sea urchins here. They are everywhere.

If you could integrate this tank into your system The filteration, and aeration would be very benifitial. STEVE
