Kelvin bulb color descriptions

I am sorry to sound dumb here , but I cannot seem to find clear descriptions of the colors and types of light provided by the different K ratings.
Could someone please lay it out for me in a clear way , such as: "6500K is a daylight bulb with a yellow tint" and so on.
I really need some help here in determining the right combo of bulbs for a 6 bulb T-5 set up over my new 75 gallon reef.
Thanks!!

if you wnat the best lightcombo to make your colors pop and give you about a 14k look. Here is what you want
Front to back
Blue plus (ATI)
Aquablue (ATI)
Blue plus (ATI)
AquaSun (UVL)
75/25 14k (UVL)
Blue Plus (ATI)
These are what I recommerd. The blue + give off the most par for any actinic out there right now. The only other bulbs I would recommend ar geismann bulbs
Go with the setup I provided and you will be happy. you can get them from a couple places online

Sweet. could you PM me a link to get the ATI Blue Plus 48"? I cannot find it anywhere online...
What color is a 14000K?
18000K?
Thanks...

the higher the kelvin, the more blue.
i use 10k as a "middle of the road". 10k is supposed to be white.
below 10k and it starts to be a yellower light. when you get down to about 3k it's red(good for plants, but not reefs).
many purchase bulbs and mix and match until they've found the mix they like best.
