Kent Marine RO/DI

I just bought a Kent Marine Maxxima Hi-S 60 GPD ro/di unit. I followed the directions on setting it up. Seems like i am getting tons of waste water. I never had one before.. The troubleshooting guide says it could be the tdc, pressure or temp. The sink is in the basement. Could temp effect it that much where it is wasting a lot of water. A gallon of waste ever couple of mins...
