Kent MArine skimmer??

I just hooked my Kent Marine Nautilus Skimmer and I'm not sure if it's working properly. Can anyone help me? Does anyone have a EX model? It's been hooked up for 5 hours and no foam. Water just spins slowly around in the reaction chamber.

Which EX did you get and what pump are you using for it?

i have the nautilus ex 24" with a rio 3100 running it it took mine about 2 days to start foaming it now works constantly i also have it on a 150 with a 30g sump but my main tank only has 3 fish in it at th emoment so it doesnt produce a lot of skimmate but what it does get is nasty so just give yours time to break in they work nice.

well, i just moved the pump closer (mag12) and now it seems to produce alot more microbubbles, when it wasn't producing any at all before. Does that seem right?
How do you eliminate the bubbles going back to the display?

Good that your EX is performing now...that seems right with the pump being closer...The pump loses pressure with the increased distance.
As for the bubbles back into the display..I do not know...I have 2 of the 36" EX's..but they are both in sumps...I do not see how they could be put where there wouldnt be any bubbles...Kent says not to submerse the outlet so that would be a tough one...you should email Kent Support and ask them.
