Whats the wattage on the bulb(s) and what size tank is it in?
Kenya trees are pretty easy corals to keep; and when they get about the size of a softball its not uncommon for them to shoot out daughter colonies.

Your lighting is minimal for the size tank you have. You are getting about 1 watt per gallon. Kenya's are fairly easy and forgiving. It is commen for the kenya to shrivel and then spring back again. Mine will do that every now and again, and they strivel when the lights go out too! There is nothing you can do unless you upgrade your lighting. Sounds like the kenya is sustaining, it simply is not thriving. It may just live as is in your system and not grow very much.

I have my kenya tree in a 110 gallon and I have nova extreme pro T5 with upgraded bulbs. My kenya tree is bigger then a softball and I have new ones popping up every where. I just frag them and sell them off. In my opinion they are nearly impossible to kill. It also sounds like yours is just sustaining life like janastasio stated above. Upgrade your lighting.
Lighting is one thing that you do not want to be cheap on.

I would go with T5's as long as they have individual reflectors. DO NOT get a fixture with 1 large reflector. Or you can go metal halide's, they are the best but the only problem is they are more expensive then T5's. Just my .02

Why seperate reflector?

you want individual reflectors because it directs all the light into the tank. 1 big reflector doesn't direct all the light into the tank. It will direct it all over the place. Just my .02
