KH/ALK test Salifert anyone use this?

I purchased a Salifert KH/ALK test and there is a bottle of alkalinity check solution in the box. It is not mentioned in the insturctions. I went to their website and they don't have anywhere to ask questions. Just wondered if anyone else uses this test and if they knew how to use it. Also the numbers came back 9.3 on KH value. Is this okay? Alk I have no idea since it doesn't tell how to use it.

The check solution should come back with a DKH of 8.0. If it doesn't your test has possibly gone bad. You do not use the check solution when running the test, it is just there as a reference in case you got a strange reading and wondered if your test had gone bad.
