KH problem

My KH has been very low lately. I don't live at home where my tank is so I was very shocked when I came home one day to see my tank looking very pathetic. Apparently my KH test is bad, but the LFS tested it and it came up at 4. I've gotten it back up to 7-8 by using the Seachem carbonate liquid and I am adding that daily when I am home, and I've asked my parents to do that when I go back to my dorm. Is there anything I can do for my corals as they struggle through this? Any other tips to keep the KH level up? I have not tested it yet today, but will in a little while.

make sure your Mg and Ca levels are in check. I have had sever dKH problems too. not that bad. between 5-7 even with the additino of Ca, Mg, and kent super buffer. Im also doing water changes with oceanic (the dKH i am getting is around 18-19...) and still no luck. But as of today i am startign to drip kalk, ill let you know how it turns out

I'm having the same problem for the first time in the 1 1/2 years I've had my reef. Seems like I'm adding buffer every 3 days!
