Hey yall! It's good to be back! Ok, I use to do some minor competition around Atlanta and Miami. I trained in muay thai for almost 2 years. I want to get into more serious training and competition. I'm 6'5 220 lbs, and I need to know if ANYBODY knows anybody else in the sport who might have some pointers as far as who to believe, what to expect, etc. I'm ready to start the rest of my life after being dumped out of an 8 yr relationship, and I'm going to do what I want for a while. Thanx in advance for any info.

No you goose, your not the one trying to get serious in a fighting career. LOL
I am young and I had to hang it up. I always think about it but I know its a young mans game. I have had enough broken ribs, jaws, noses, and knuckes for this cat.
Very hard news to hear and have it sink in but if past 25 then your past the "getting serious" stage in the training game in my book. Sorry if it sounds negative.

Well, I just turned 28 today. I know there are younger guys out there. I've been in good shape most of my life. Played ice hockey for 11 years aside from muay thai. If I get beat like a school girl, that's fine. It's a sport. As long as I get just a few in. Fighting is good, winning is great. You can't always win, but you can always fight.

Don't believe anyone...just train and have a good time...I fought several years and at big shows, I'm friends with several UFC & WEC fighters....they are constantly let down, people promise them the world and deliver nothing...Find several schools to train at....if you train one style or one instructor you will be worthless.

Yeah, I've come to realize that most of these people in this sport are full of sh**. I've had some amazing offers, but I'm not willing to move anywhere else right now. Plus, they were all after my last fight in Miami. It was just a little too coincidental that all these grease-balls came to me at once, wanting to pay for my training and pay for a house in miami, and blah blah blah..... Very shady people! I just want to fight. I don't need to make money doing it. Maybe I should just keep doing what I'm doing and somebody will take me under their wing.
